Kyle Watts

Kyle believes the practice of law requires having an understanding of the problem at hand and providing the best possible resolution for the client. Kyle has acted as an advocate for his clients at all levels of courts including the Supreme Court of Canada. He is involved in accident claims in BC and Alberta.

Education

Kyle obtained his juris doctor (law degree) in 1998. He was called to the bar in 1999 and has practiced in Vernon BC since. He presently restricts his practice to Personal Injury, ICBC claims, car accidents, and employment law claims including human rights disputes and wrongful dismissal lawsuits.

Community Involvement
Kyle was formerly the chair for the Vernon Athletic Commission which disbanded when the Provincial Commission was formed in 2013. Since then, Kyle has remained involved as a judge for combative sports such as boxing, kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts for the BC Athletic Commission. He has also been involved in the UFC events in Vancouver since 2010 in the capacity as a supervisor and corner inspector.
In the past, Kyle has acted as president for the Vernon Bar Association and the Vernon Club, as well as vice president for the Vernon and District Funtastic Society, and the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Vernon.

When he’s not working, Kyle loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys skiing, snowboarding and martial arts.
