Vernon Good Citizen of the Year Award – We proudly sponsor this annual recognition of outstanding community service, presented by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Vernon. See recent winners here: 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021.

Vernon Junior Good Citizen of the Year Award – Since its launch in 2023, we have been the primary sponsor of this award celebrating young leaders in our community, in partnership with the North Okanagan Optimists Club. See recent winners: 2025, 2024.

North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association - Lawyers Robert Ross and Ean Ross serve on the NOYSA board, helping to guide youth soccer in our community. Our firm also sponsors multiple teams.
Vernon Pride Society – We provided pro-bono legal services to help the Vernon Pride Society obtain official incorporation, supporting their long-term sustainability.
JCI BC/Yukon 2024 Regional Convention – As a strong supporter of youth leadership and professional development, we sponsored this event to help foster the next generation of changemakers.
Vernon & District Immigrant & Community Services Society – Every holiday season, we sponsor two families, helping newcomers to Canada feel welcomed and supported.
Powerhouse Theatre – We proudly sponsored them in 2024, continuing our commitment to supporting local arts and culture.

Our lawyers and staff are active participants in community events, sports, and local initiatives
Lawn Days of Summer Tournament – We have sponsored this lawn bowling event for years and always put in a team to join in the fun.
Okanagan Indian Band Charity Golf Tournament – We love supporting this event and regularly enter a team to help raise funds for local initiatives.

Saturday Night Men’s League Hockey – Several of our lawyers lace up their skates each week, bringing teamwork and camaraderie to the ice.

Legal Eagles Volleyball Team – We proudly fielded a volleyball team for three years, showing that teamwork extends beyond the courtroom.

Vernon Morning Star Reader’s Choice Award – We are honored to be nominated year after year as one of the best law firms in the North Okanagan. In 2024, Kidston Helm Ross was named Best Law Firm in the North Okanagan!
North Okanagan Events

Vernon Winter Carnival – We have supported and participated in this long-standing community tradition in past years.

Lumby Outhouse Race – Our own Darren Schmidt helped launch this fun and unique community event, now run by the Lumby Chamber of Commerce.
Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE) – Our firm has been a past sponsor of this wonderful fall fair in Armstrong, BC. Lawyer Dustin Griffin previously served on the board and continues to volunteer his time to this beloved local event (even winning the IPE's Volunteer of the Year Award in 2023).
Rock The Cradle Radiothon & Curling Bonspiel – We have supported and participated in this fundraising event in past years.
