Daniel is an experienced employment and civil litigation lawyer at Kidston Helm Ross, representing both employers and employees in workplace disputes. He has successfully handled cases involving wrongful dismissal, human rights violations, workers’ compensation claims, and workplace investigations. His practice includes advising on employment contracts, workplace policies, hiring, restructuring, and compliance with employment standards.

A skilled trial lawyer, Daniel has appeared as lead counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia and has represented clients before various administrative tribunals governing employment and labor matters. Beyond employment law, he has extensive experience in civil litigation, including land use disputes, administrative law, and commercial conflicts.

Daniel is known for his strategic, results-driven approach and strong advocacy. He prioritizes open and honest communication, ensuring that his clients fully understand their legal options and feel supported throughout the process.

Daniel completed his undergraduate degree in business at the University of British Columbia, specializing in accounting, before earning his Juris Doctor at UBC in 2014. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2015.

When he’s not advocating for his clients, Daniel enjoys swimming, reading, and exploring the outdoors with his family. He is a lifelong hockey fan and remains loyal to the Vancouver Canucks—despite their ups and downs.

"Daniel Draht and Melissa Boden were just awesome to work with. They were always very professional, helpful, communicative and genuinely took an interest in my well being as they assisted me with my legal matter. Thank you very much!"
