David Helm

David Helm is a senior lawyer with Kidston Helm Ross, bringing over four decades of experience in Business Law, Wills & Estates, and Real Estate Law. Since joining the firm in 1997, David has built a reputation for providing practical legal solutions tailored to individuals, families, and businesses in the Okanagan.

David earned his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University after completing his undergraduate studies at Waterloo Lutheran University. He began his legal career in Kamloops before establishing his practice in Vernon, where he continues to assist clients with estate planning, business law matters, and real estate transactions.

With a client-centered approach, David focuses on helping clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity and confidence. His deep understanding of estate and corporate law ensures his clients receive comprehensive guidance for their long-term planning and business needs.

Beyond his legal practice, David has been an active member of the Vernon community. He has served with Kiwanis, Rotary Club, and the Vernon Chamber of Commerce, contributing his time and expertise to local initiatives.

An avid outdoorsman, David enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and skiing. He values time spent with his wife Patricia, their children David, Kelsey, and Geordie, and their grandchildren, Abby, Max, Jasper and Beckham. His passion for the outdoors and strong community ties make him a dedicated advocate both in and outside of the office.
