Kyle Watts is a personal injury and employment lawyer at Kidston Helm Ross. With over two decades of legal experience, Kyle is dedicated to advocating for clients involved in accident claims, employment disputes, and human rights matters. He has represented clients at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and handles cases in both British Columbia and Alberta.

Kyle believes that the practice of law is about understanding the problem at hand and providing the best possible resolution for the client. His practice is focused on personal injury, ICBC claims, car accidents, and employment law, including wrongful dismissal lawsuits and human rights disputes.

Kyle earned his Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University in 1998 after completing his Bachelor’s Degree at Simon Fraser University in 1993. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1999 and has been practicing in Vernon ever since.

Beyond his legal work, Kyle has played an active role in the Vernon community. He served as chair of the Vernon Athletic Commission until its transition to the BC Athletic Commission in 2013. He continues to be involved as a judge for combative sports, including boxing, kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Since 2010, he has participated in UFC events in Vancouver as a supervisor and corner inspector. Additionally, Kyle has held leadership roles as president of the Vernon Bar Association and the Vernon Club, and vice president of the Vernon & District Funtastic Society and Junior Chamber International Vernon.

When he’s not working, Kyle enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, snowboarding, and practicing martial arts. His commitment to both his clients and his community makes him a dedicated and trusted advocate.

If I was a defendant and knew Kyle Watts was the accident victim's lawyer, I would just give them what he asked for to save the time and headache. Mr. Watts is, in my experience as a personal injury lawyer of 16 years, a highly skilled, experienced and successful advocate. He is relentless, cunning and extremely good at what he does. Without a doubt, if i was in an accident, I would hire Kyle Watts.
